Erin Hickey (formly Sammarco), a dedicated pediatric occupational therapist and the founder of Flourish & Grow Therapy, takes a holistic, play-based approach to help children achieve their therapy goals.

Erin has worked with children diagnosed with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and various other conditions, leveraging her advanced training in sensory integration strategies, trauma-informed care, and her certification in the “Feed the Peds” program to address feeding disorders and difficulties. She strongly believes in a collaborative, team-based approach to therapy and has successfully partnered with Speech Language Pathologists, educators, ABA clinicians, social workers, and physical therapists. Erin also has experience working in mental health with children and adolescents, where she has gained a deep understanding of the complexities and the need for individualized care.

Originally from Long Island, NY, Erin relocated to the Eastern Shore of Maryland at the age of 17. She earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Husson University and her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Physical Education from Towson University. Outside of her professional life, Erin enjoys spending time with her fiancé and dog, hiking, and camping.
